Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service

Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service has been providing a free community mediation service to support the residences of the borough of Broxtowe for over 10 years.  The service is supported by a management committee which consists of representatives from the private and public sectors as well as community groups and organisations. 

We have Centre Recognition from the National Open College Network, East Midlands Region (OCNEMR).  This means that the service can deliver training in-house to its volunteers and that the quality assurance processes are in place for the delivery of the Community Mediation Skills course.   We have over twenty trained mediators who volunteer for us they play a central role in supporting the service. 

 We get the majority of our referrals directly from the residents, also from the various departments within Broxtowe Borough Council, the housing department, anti social behaviour, planning and legal.  We also take referrals from the Police, CAB and Social Services.

 We provide three surgeries across the borough to enable residents to speak directly with a mediator.

 We also support Broxtowe Borough Council with Homelessness Mediation and Workplace Mediation.
